CAMPBELLSPORT — Campbellsport sophomore Jeff Bong scored a
career-high 10 points, including two 3-pointers, to help the Cougars earn their first Eastern Wisconsin Conference win
of the season.
The Cougars led 4-2 after the first quarter, but Kyle Beck
hit a 3-pointer to spark Campbellsport toward a 15-7 advantage in the second.
"In the first quarter we were real patient, and both
teams opened up a little cold," Cougars coach Kyle Twohig
said. "Kyle Beck hit a 3 to kind of get us going. That kind of took the
lid off the basket for us."
Campbellsport's Nate Baumhardt and
Reid Hundertmark each had seven points.
Tim Whitty grabbed eight rebounds,
Nick Schuster had seven rebounds, and Beck finished with three assists.
"I thought we played really well in half-court defense,
and we had lot of balance on offense," Twohig
said. "Everybody contributed."
The Cougars (4-9, 1-7) visit Plymouth on Tuesday.
Kewaskum's Lucas Kopeschka had
seven points.
The Indians visit Sheboygan Falls on Tuesday.
