Winning ten
of the eleven events, New London swam past the Chilton/Valders/Brillion
coop team, 116-54, in a non-conference girls swim dual meet held last week
Tuesday evening at the Valders High School pool.
The lone CVB
event win was by Andi Berger in the 200 yard
freestyle. Her time was 2:22.95. Berger also placed second in the 100 freestyle
at 1:02.45. Ashley Meyer came in second in the 100 breaststroke at 1:31.69.
Other second
place efforts went to the 200 medley relay team of Catherine Johnson, Meyer,
Molly Barnes and Jalin Lutze
(2:18.15), along with the 200 freestyle relay team of Lutze,
Theresa Evenson, Berger and Nicole Hickinbotham (2:02.86) and the 400 freestyle relay team
consisting of Allison Barnes, Molly Barnes, Evenson
and Berger. Their time was 4:33.40.
The CVB
junior varsity beat New London 81-68. Wins went to Fiona Fredericks in the 200
freestyle and 100 freestyle, Kaitlyn
Schmidlkofer in the breaststroke, the medley relay
team (Cassidy Taylor, Monica Grube, Abi Vickman and Bieke de Bruiyn) and the
200 freestyle relay team (Fredericks, Vickman, Taylor
Sporer and Alyssa Serwe).
Results from
last Saturday’s Ashwaubenon Invitational were not
available.
Coach Donna Koenigs team travels to Plymouth twice this week. On
Thursday they compete in a triangular that includes the Kohler/Sheboygan Falls
coop team in a meet that starts at 6 p.m. They return on Saturday afternoon to
take part in the Plymouth Invitational.
