WLA
58, New Holstein 40
WLA suffered through a lackluster first half, but turned it
on in a dominant third quarter at home.
The Vikings trailed for most of the first two quarters
before outscoring New Holstein 19-4 in the third.
Katelyn Kuehl scored 18 points for
WLA (11-3), followed by Stephanie Kramer's 12 points and six rebounds. Leslie Wochos paced the defensive effort with three steals.
"They came to play and I think we probably didn't and
that was probably why they led for most of the first half," WLA coach
Scott Herrewig said. "It wasn't until right
before the first half ended that we got a lead. In the third quarter, we came
out and played very well. We ran the floor and we got easy looks when we did
that."
Heather Klapperich led New
Holstein with 15 points.
