Emilie Leffin scored a career-high 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds to power Sheboygan Falls over Plymouth 69-54 in an Eastern Wisconsin Conference girls basketball game Friday night in Falls. Falls came out with a 2-3 zone defense, which set the tone for a 23-11 first-quarter Falcons lead."My girls love (the 2-3 zone)," said Sheboygan Falls head coach LeRoy Hamilton. "It's a gambling defense. We were able to use their athleticism."
Cassie Quirt had 11 points and six assists for Sheboygan Falls (4-0 overall, 3-0 EWC).Kaitlyn Hoffman led Plymouth with 11 points and Amanda Gumm added 10.
