PHS third in debut triangular

WEST BEND – The Plymouth Panthers finished third in Tuesday night's boys swimming and diving triangular meet but head coach Clare Sedlacek saw bright spots.
“It was a tough meet but I am excited to see all of our young guys step up and swim well,” said Sedlacek.
The nonconference meet was held at West Bend's meter pool. The normal measure is yards. West Bend edged Kiel for first place, 133-125. PHS scored 61 points and didn't have any winners.
The Panthers were missing one of their top swimmers in junior Cormick Hnilicka who was sick.
“Our last regular-season meet will also be in a meter pool, so our new swimmers will be able to see just how far they have come,” the coach said.
West Bend won the junior varsity meet with 143 points, followed by PHS at 77 and Kiel, 44. The Panthers' first-place finishers were the 200 freestyle relay with Jake Landry, Collin Miller, Ben Bachmann and Matthew Matz; and Dan Levan in the 100 breaststroke.
